Five Little Turkeys
by Jolanda Garcia

Five little turkeys
That I once knew
Fat turkeys, skinny turkeys,
And short turkeys too.

But the one little turkey
With the loudest gobble,
He led the others with a
gobble-gobble, wobble-wobble.

See them walk with a wobble, wobble
Hear them talk with a gobble, gobble

One little turkey ruffled his feather into a ball
And fell asleep still standing tall.

Four little turkeys, three, two, . . .

One little turkey thought -- I better run away
Soon it will be Thanksgiving Day!

Hello Mr. Turkey, how are you? (Clap, clap)

Thanksgiving Day

The cranberry ran away on Thanksgiving Day.
She said, “They’ll make a sauce of me if I should stay!”
The pumpkin ran away on Thanksgiving Day.
He said, “They’ll make a pie of me if I should stay!”
The turkey ran away on Thanksgiving Day.
He said, “They’ll make a feast of me if I should stay!”

Five Fat Turkeys

Five fat turkeys, short and plump,
The first one hid way high upon a stump.
The second one said, “We should run, run, run.”
The third one said, “Or we’ll be done.”
The fourth one said, “I don’t want to be dinner.”
The fifth one said, “I wish I were thinner!”
