Pin the Star on Uncle Sam
For this game you will need a poster of Uncle Sam (or use our game printables), some stars to represent the fifty states, and a blindfold. Give child two stars with a piece of two-sided sticky tape adhered to one side, blindfold and spin him or her around, and let him or her try to stick the stars to Uncle Sam. If the child sticks the star on a spot with numbers let them add up the points and write them down. The winner of the game is the one with the most points. (great addition practice ;-)
More Game Ideas:
Fourth of July Musical Chairs
Place chairs in a circle (one less than the number of children). Have children march around the circle to some marching music or Yankee Doodle Dandy. Stop the music periodically and have children find a chair to sit in. The child without a chair is out. Remove a chair each time. Repeat until there is only one chair and two players left. The one to sit down on the last chair is the winner.

Water Balloon Toss
Fill red, white, and blue balloons with water. Have children form teams of two and give each pair a balloon. Have each pair face each other and gently toss the balloons back and forth. Have children take a step back after each toss. The team that tosses the its balloon the furthest without it breaking is the winner.
Variation: Give each pair two balloons, one to each player, and have them toss their balloons at the same time....
